Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a special education teacher, am a mom of 4, taken care of newborns through 3 year olds in my church nursery and worked in the children's dept with Pre-K through 8th graders, and baby sat/ nanny for numerous families over the last 40 years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy reading, arts and crafts, age appropriate kitchen activities, playing games and using music to keep everyone occupied while indoors.
Outdoors I enjoy taking children on walks while using the time as informal teaching opportunities, going to the park, water activities to keep everyone cool when needed, playing catch, basketball, games like jump rope, frisbee, or anything that may capture your child's attention. Blowing bubbles, sidewalk chalk, or using edible/non toxic items to encourage creativity especially with younger children.

My experience with special needs children...
I have taken care of children with ADD/ADHD, down's syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, as well as developmental delays and learning disabilities.
My son is high functioning autistic and just graduated high school. He was on the robotics team all 4 years of high school, 3 of which he was the captain for the team.
I truly believe that with the correct support every child can be successful. It is our job as caregivers to advocate for their best interest and find what works best for each individual and in a variety of settings.
