A little bit about me

. I worked at a the Olalla Center for Children as a QMHA for ten years. A psychiatric facility for children with behavioral issues. I had a variety of positions.. I ran the TYKE program (Treatment for youth in a kindergarten environment) 3-6 yrs old. I also was a skills trainer. This allowed me to go into the schools and assist kids in their classrooms being able to help them with their negative behaviors and teach them new skills to aid them in being more successful. I worked off thetreatment plans the psychiatrist & the counselors set for each child. This would include treatment goals the parents set for their kids. It was a very challenging job but I truly enjoyed working with the kids.
We have 2 children. Our daughter is 39 and she blessed with our very special granddaughter who just turned 18 and is now currently living with us. Our son is 36 and enjoys ALL outside activities. I am ready to get back to work. I am looking for part time work. No weekends

My experience with special needs children...

Our granddaughter was born with severe health issues. She had a bilateral cleft and palate along with the diagnoses of intellectual disabilities. I cared for her as a baby as she had a lot of special needs especially with feeding along with many many surgery’s. She just had her final surgery which included facial reconstruction on her nose and lip. She has been in my care for all of her operations over the past 18 years.
