A little bit about me

Hello, My name is Thalia Johnson.

I'm a 24-year-old high school teacher based in St. Louis, Missouri. During the summer, I work at the Jackie Joyner-Kersee (JJK) Center in East St. Louis, engaging with children aged 4 to 15. My passion for working with youth has been a consistent thread throughout my life.

Since 2019, I've been involved with the YMCA in O'Fallon, Illinois, where I served as a day camp counselor. In this role, I had the opportunity to work closely with both preschoolers (ages 3–5) and 4th-grade students, facilitating activities that promote growth and learning.

I firmly believe in the importance of nurturing children's development, helping them acquire the skills and confidence they need to reach their full potential. Whether in the classroom or through extracurricular programs, my goal is to support and inspire the next generation.
