The most important part about being a nanny...

The sanity and peace the family feels with knowing they have the right support. Knowing I am making an impact, and an extension of the family to their child, is important to all parties involved.

My experience with special needs children...

i nannied for a 3 year old boy with autism and was involved in his speech and occupational therapy sessions. Thorougly enjoyed. I was involved enough that I went to his school events.

I also nannied parttime mornings a 4 year old little boy, he had a speech delay, and we went to his speech sessions together. We worked through his frustrations together with patience, and he was an absolute blast to work with. Enjoyed seeing him learn how to navigate and being a part of walking him through how he would feel. Was so proud of him.

The most important part about being a nanny...

my two nanny girls.. who respectively i started with at 5 months & 11 months, and was blessed to see through to 3 & 4. The oldest had a lot of food allergies and severe ezcema but was my bestie. Being a part of all their firsts and i was their "noni".

We stay in contact to this day, the fmaily and I. The mom and I became almost sisters, and the girls are now 10 & 11, and i still see them every year despite living in Florida now and they still live in Pennsylvania.
