For me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a genuine, trusting connection with the children I care for. I believe in creating a safe, loving, and positive environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and free to be themselves. I’ve had the opportunity to work with children with special needs in various settings, including those with Autism, Down syndrome, and physical impairments. Some of my favorite moments while caring for children have been witnessing their little milestones and being a part of their growth. One of the most touching experiences I’ve had was hearing a non-verbal autistic child say their first words while we were playing together. It was an emotional and unforgettable moment that showed me the power of patience, connection, and love. I also cherish the times I’ve spent cooking simple recipes with the children, turning everyday activities into fun, hands-on learning experiences. These memories remind me why I love working with children — because every day holds new joys, surprises, and meaningful connections.
