A little bit about me

You can call me Trey, I went to college for early childhood education and I’m 26 years old. I’m a former cheer assistant coach of 2 years so some would like ti categorize me as very energetic and lively. I’ve been working as a babysitter/nanny for the past 3 1/2 years full time and I have been very fortunate to have long term and short term recurrent placements. I love to cook I like to think of myself as the all round kids choice in terms off the menu I provide. In terms of housekeeping I have also had the opportunity to be a housekeeper from time to time. Mainly because I tend to be somewhat of a clean freak while nannying anyway, always trying to implement cleaning into our play time. It’s always fun finding ways to trick them into assisting me with cleaning without them thinking of the chores they might be helping with. When the little ones are taking a nap(if at all) I tend to tidy things up, meal prep, occasional phone time and prep for the next fun thing I have planned.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I used to be a Springhill Daycamp counselor for 4 years. I also used to sub for k-5th grad classes. From time to time I also assist my Aunt with her children’s dance classes, as well as popping back into my former cheer teams practices to make sure they still got it.

My experience with special needs children...

As a counselor at Spring Hill I was blessed to also be an inclusion counselor working with children with special needs for 2 of those 4 years and loved every second of it.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I always love when the kids know the routines that mom and dad implements into their day to day. And when I may slip and forget one thing or If I’m not particularly doing it the way their parents would, being corrected and told that I missed a step. I’d always find adorable. I would even purposefully mess up and see if they can catch it to keep them on their toes as well.
