More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I served in my church’s preschool and nursery room for the past 3 years, I have also babysat numerous times since I was 13 years old. I was also an assistant teacher for a second grade class during my senior year of high school. I spent 3 years employed at a local preschool as a 2 year old classroom teacher, before then I moved from classrooms 6 weeks- 5 years old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing with their favorite toys, dress up, outside play, art and music. Anything that makes them happy:)
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think one of the most important parts about being a nanny is the relationship you form with the child(ren). One of my favorite things about nannying is getting to see their smiles when I show up, getting to play with them and laugh with them as well as watch them grow up. I think it’s a really special opportunity to watch them grow up and become who they were made to be.
My experience with special needs children...
I served in my church’s inclusion program for 3 years. I also have participated in “Night to Shine” for three years now, which is a prom night where we are paired with a child with special needs and get to hangout with them all day/night. One of the families I’ve babysat for has a 8 year old daughter who is autistic, we have a wonderful relationship. I also was a part of “best buddies” for all four years of high school. My major is also in Deaf Education, so if your child is nonverbal we could still communicate well.❤️
