Hi families! My name is Tyliyah (most families end up calling me TT ;) I have 5+ years of childcare experience, working with multiple families and caring for children from newborn - adult yrs. My long-term experience includes a family of five children, supporting their youngest (age 5) and assisting an older child with a mobility disability (28). I’ve gained experience adjusting routines, offering physical support, and creating safe, structured environments for children with different needs.

I’ve also helped families during vacations, extended stays, and periods when parents were out of the country. Families trust me because I am reliable, flexible, and able to manage daily routines, meals, activities, homework, and bedtime independently.

In larger settings, I’ve led creative workshops at TwoSweets Slime and have experience as a youth mentor, supporting children socially, academically, and emotionally. As a past foster care child, I make patience and stability my top priorities!

I enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor activities that keep children engaged, learning, and having fun. Indoors, I love doing arts and crafts, sensory play, reading time, educational games, and hands‑on activities that spark creativity. I also enjoy helping with homework and simple learning exercises.

Outdoors, I like taking kids to parks, going on walks, doing bubbles, sidewalk chalk, outdoor games, and exploring nature. I’m great with energetic children and love planning activities that fit their personality and routine. My goal is always to create safe, fun, and interactive experiences that help children thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, trusting, and loving environment where children feel comfortable and understood. For me, it’s about being someone they can depend on every day. Keeping their routines consistent, supporting their development, and making sure they feel secure whether it’s a short visit or all day care is crucial. Building genuine bonds, staying patient, and showing up with reliability and care is what makes the biggest difference in a child’s life, and it’s the part of nannying I value the most. As a young foster child myself, I understand the safety and consistency children yearn for the most!

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children who have a range of special needs, including mobility challenges, ADHD/behavioral needs, and children who require extra structure and patience. I cared for a child with a physical mobility disability as part of a five‑child household, where I supported daily routines, helped with safe movement around the home, and made sure activities were accessible and comfortable. This taught me how to adjust plans, stay patient, and create calm, structured environments.

I also have experience keeping high‑energy children engaged, supporting learning and social skills, and helping children feel confident and secure. My background in youth mentorship and group activity leadership helps me adapt to each child’s needs while maintaining safety and consistency. My focus is always on respect, understanding, and making sure every child feels supported.

My favorite nanny moments are always when the kids never want me to leave. Whether it’s begging to finish another activity or running to the door for a hug before I go, those reactions mean everything to me. It shows the bond we’ve built and reminds me why I love childcare. Children deserve to feel safe, happy, and connected when I’m with them.
