My name is Tyra, I 23 years old and I just relocated to the Atlanta, GA area in the beginning of June, 2024. I attended WSU in Utah for 3 years where I studied social work and ASL. I am partially fluent in ASL and am working towards becoming fully fluent with translation credentials. I would love to integrate my knowledge of ASL if permitted! I have always had a passion for helping people and tending for children and helping families out! I have experience with various age groups, ranging from infant to teen care. I am available to start as soon as possible! I am CPR Certified. I am reliable, responsible, and communicative, as I’ve also been awarded the role of team captain and shift lead in my recent past. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

- experience with babysitting infants & toddlers
- experience tending and nannying up to 4 children at once, various ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing games, doing arts and crafts, helping with schoolwork, reading, working on development, going on walks, following a routine, outside activities, playing at the pool, etc. I also have experience taking children I nanny to fun activities outside the home, including the trampoline park, or necessary locations such as doctors appointments & other appointments.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I'd say the most important part about being a nanny is being very vigilant and observant of details. Each child is different and require different types of care, and I think it's important to be versatile and pay attention to how to care for each child, and how to make that child happy and feel cared for, all while sticking to the parents wishes. I also think it's super important to be PRESENT as a nanny. I believe you should be an addition to the family and children's lives, not just a buffer. My goal is to be a positive role model and caregiver to every child I care for.

Little to none experience with special needs children, but more than willing to learn.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when it was only my second time coming to tend for these 3 little girls, and as soon as I got there they handed me a picture they drew of me with their little handwriting captioned "best babysitter ever!" It warmed my heart and made me smile for days!
