More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
One of my standout experiences was working with the Brooklyn Public Library’s Teen Takeover program. In this role, I was responsible for planning and organizing fun, creative activities for teenagers. I curated a variety of engaging sessions like arts and crafts, storytelling workshops, and interactive games that encouraged creativity and built a strong sense of community.
Additionally, I coordinated meals and snacks, ensuring they were nutritious and appealing. I made it a priority to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where new friendships could flourish. This experience honed my ability to balance structure with flexibility, catering to the diverse needs and interests of the teens.
These skills—planning engaging activities, managing logistics, and fostering a warm atmosphere—are directly applicable to nannying. They equip me to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children of all ages, making me confident in my ability to meet the needs of any family.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting and nurturing relationship with the children in my care. This foundation allows me to understand their individual needs, interests, and emotions, fostering a safe and supportive environment where they can thrive. Patience and empathy are essential as I guide them through challenges, celebrate their milestones, and encourage their personal growth. Clear communication with both children and parents ensures alignment on expectations and promotes a positive partnership. Ultimately, being a nanny means not only providing physical care but also emotional support and educational stimulation, shaping a child's formative years with love, respect, and dedication.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my most cherished nanny moments was with a first grader struggling with reading. I introduced her to Starfall, a tool I loved as a child. Witnessing her joy as she read her first words, both our faces lit up with excitement and pride. It was a beautiful reminder of the impact small victories can have on a child's confidence and love for learning.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Brooklyn, NY: Sophie C.
Hi I’m Sophie! I have been a consistent neighborhood babysitter since I was 13 years old. Additionally, I worked in an elementary school for 3 years in both gen ed and special ed classrooms. While working at the school, I was a one-to-one, a lunch aide, a substitute, a temporary nurse, and anything else the school needed me to be. I loved that job so much that it inspired me to go back to school to pursue a career as an elementary school counselor. Outside of school and work, I love to sew, read and spend as much time as I can outdoors. Hope to hear from you soon!

I am smart, reliable, caring, loyal and fun loving person. People and pets are drawn to me. I take my job very seriously, especially when it comes to children.
