Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…I’ve had an In-Home daycare, was Lead Pre-k Teacher for multiple Private Schools and became an Early Childhood Director for a daycare facility.
Activities I enjoy doing with children…Arts/Crafts, simple Science projects, Phonics, Alpha/Numeric, outdoor/indoor activities, reading/writing, imagery play, follow the interest of the children and expound on that.
The most important part about being a nanny…Noting the starting point of the family/child and Nanny relationship and over time realizing the grow and health of the family/child with the Nanny.
My favorite nanny moment…I kept a 3 yr. old boy who’s personality was bigger than the sun. One day he saw my daughter (she’s in college now.) getting in the school bus and he screams “WAIT FOR ME!” He turns around and says, “ I want to ride the bus too. “ In turn, I replied,”go ahead!” As I watched him run towards the bus. He immediately halted, turns around and says, “c’mon Mrs.V.” I replied, “I’m too big for school, when you get older you will ride the bus too.” From then after he made it mission to watch the bus come and go.
