More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have a history of caring for children whether it was my own siblings for a majority of my life to help my single working mother, to nanny friends' children, or professional work with verbally agreed contracts via local networking. :)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading, drawing, solving puzzles, arts and crafts, cooking, sledding, walking, etc. Watching children interact with the world is honestly heartwarming, they're so curious.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the best part about being a nanny is understanding the phrase "It takes a village to raise a child". I am going to be a part of this child's life no matter how small or not, I need to make sure that everything I do is a good model for children to learn about and understand life whether I teach them their academics, a new language, or simply answer any questions they have. Personally, I believe any question can be answered to satisfaction with the right wording. Children are knowledge sponges but I think some people forget knowledge isn't just books, children watch everything we do.
My experience with special needs children...
I, unfortunately, haven't had the opportunity to work with special needs children but I am open to it.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was with a young girl, Jordan, she was FULL of energy. We played all day long whether it was tag or dolls, she did my makeup as best she could at 4 years old, and we ended the night with watching her favorite shows on Disney channel. I put her to bed by 7:30pm. Her parents came home expecting her to still be awake, we had a good laugh after they told me they made bets on their drive home from their night out whether she would still be up but they were surprised how early she was in bed.

Hello, I have a passion for teaching, nurturing, and caring for children of all ages. My extensive experience allows me to join any environment with enthusiasm. I love including cooking or preparing healthy meals, singing, yoga, early childhood development, Spanish, foreign language, and outdoor play with my little clients. I’m very in tune with their needs, especially when it comes to balancing sleep, diet, and play. Many parents enjoy my attention to etiquette & grooming. Lastly, I have over 10-years of experience working with children on the spectrum, ranging from high to low functioning, including non-verbal. I’ve helped introduce and support proactive strategies for language and skill development, including behavior intervention. I’m currently a registered ABA therapist, working with children diagnosed with ASD.

My name is Celina Ayuso. I am 39yrs old. I was born and raised in Tucson Arizona. I have experience working in daycare when I was about 19yrs old. I then found work as a caregiver, and have been a certified caregiver for 17yrs. I have my First Aide and CPR cards and a finger print clearance card. I've worked for the same assisted living for the past 12yrs. I'm looking for a change of pace. I take care of 10 residents by myself as the ratio is 10 to 1. They all have special needs. Some are in wheelchairs, some have dementia, amputees and more. I am very capable of taking care of 1 child. I have a lot of patience. I'm kind, sympathetic, and I am still young at heart. I love children, and their enthusiasm for life. I have a 4yr old who's my whole world.
