My experience with special needs children...
I've cared for kids with autism, ADHD, kids prone to seizures, and kids with learning disabilities, etc. As each child is different and comes with different needs, I always make sure to pay close attention to detail and any change within a child. While some children may not be able to advocate for themselves verbally, I always pay attention to their mannerisms and body language, and face expressions for any signs of Un comfortability or an okay to ensure that I am never overstepping any boundaries. Their voices are important, and I always do my best to make sure each and every one is heard out properly. I like to stimulate them mentally with learning activities, outdoor fun, games or shows of their own, or a safe and quiet space if needed, etc.
