As a mother of two boys — one with autism and ADHD, and one who is a NICU graduate — I have daily, real-life experience caring for children with different needs and developmental stages. In addition, I have worked with families in Massachusetts and Texas, supporting children from newborns to age 10. I also have experience volunteering in church nurseries and school events, providing childcare, organization, and emotional support. These roles helped me develop strong skills in communication, patience, and structured care.

I love planning playdates, playing with educational toys that support learning, spending time outdoors, and creating fun, screen-free activities. I enjoy reading books with the children and, if needed, taking them to the library or local community events. I believe in nurturing creativity, curiosity, and kindness through everyday moments. The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, loving bond with the child and becoming a safe, positive presence in their life. Children need more than supervision — they need connection, consistency, and someone who genuinely cares. I believe in helping shape not just routines, but character, supporting the child’s emotional, social, and developmental growth every day. Being trusted by a family to care for what they love most is a big responsibility, and I treat it with deep respect, heart, and joy.

My experience with special needs children...

I have both personal and professional experience caring for children with special needs. I’m a mother of two boys with ADHD — one of them is also autistic and was nonverbal until the age of 4. Because of this, I have deep, hands-on experience with sensory needs, communication challenges, emotional regulation, and gentle structure. I also have experience with premature babies and infants with reflux — my own son was born at 34 weeks and spent 15 days in the NICU. In addition, I helped my sister care for her twin boys who were born at just 32 weeks. I stayed with her for 3 months, supporting her with feedings, developmental care, and daily routines. I understand the patience, flexibility, and love that children with unique needs require — and I bring all of that into the families I work with.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s hard to choose just one favorite nanny moment, because I truly believe every stage and every moment is special. I love being part of a child’s development — seeing them learn, grow, and build character day by day. Caring for babies is especially meaningful to me, because it’s such a precious phase that goes by so quickly. Watching a baby start to recognize your voice, smile at you, and feel safe in your care is deeply rewarding. I feel truly honored every time a family trusts me to be part of those early, formative years. Working with children is not just a job — it’s a gift.
