A little bit about me

I love music and the outdoors! Graduated from Florida State with a degree in Economics and a minor in Education. I wanted to be a teacher after I moved to Oregon but didn't have the money to complete a state certified course. I really enjoy kids so this past winter I was a ski instructor at Mt. Hood Meadows. Since I love the outdoors so much, I plan on doing some wildland firefighting this summer out of The Dalles in order to help me save up some money. During my education courses in college, I spent several semesters fulfilling internships in classrooms working with kids and teaching them. During this experience I learned how to connect with and understand kids, and it all starts with empathy. Being a role model for kids is one of the most rewarding experiences there is. Knowing that we are teaching the next generation the right thing to do. I don't have much experience with kids under 3, but 4 and up I work really well with.
