More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have hands-on childcare experience in several settings. I started at an indoor amusement park, hosting parties and leading activities for kids ages 5–12 while keeping things fun and safe. From ages 17–20, I cared for a family with three children, supporting their daily routines and development, and I also continue babysitting for another family in New Jersey long-term, including caring for their newborn.
At 21, I worked as a Lead Party Host at Area 53, managing children’s events and ensuring everything ran smoothly. I also have daycare experience, including caring for infants, which strengthened my understanding of early childhood care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy creating engaging, meaningful activities with children that support both learning and fun. I love teaching kids about different cultures and introducing basic Spanish in simple, interactive ways. With a background from Barbados and Puerto Rico, I also enjoy sharing parts of my own culture to help children learn about diversity in a natural and exciting way.
I’m very creative, so I especially enjoy doing arts and crafts, reading books together, and singing songs. I like activities that encourage imagination, expression, and bonding while also helping children feel confident and supported.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny, to me, is creating a safe, consistent, and loving environment where a child feels understood and supported. It’s not just about care, it’s about building trust, encouraging growth, and being a steady, positive presence in their everyday life.
My experience with special needs children...
I also have experience working with a child of special needs, which has made me very familiar with the different ways children may communicate, learn, and express themselves. I understand that while their needs may be unique, they are
still very much children who deserve patience, consistency, and care tailored to who they are.
I’ve learned how important it is to be observant, flexible, and supportive, especially when helping them navigate routines, emotions, and social interactions. I approach every child with understanding and respect, meeting them where they are while encouraging growth in a calm and encouraging way.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was with a child I had been working with for a while who was usually very shy and reserved, especially in new situations. Over time, we built a strong bond through small routines, reading together, doing art projects, and talking about his favorite things.
One day, we did a little “at-home cultural day” where we made crafts, listened to music from different places, and I shared a bit about my background from Barbados and Puerto Rico. By the end of the day, he completely opened up. He was singing along, asking questions, and even teaching me a little song he learned at school.
What made it special wasn’t just the activity, but seeing him feel confident, safe, and excited to express himself. It reminded me how powerful patience, consistency, and simple moments of connection can be in a child’s growth.
