Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
There are over thirteen children that I have supported an cared for I the span for twenty five years of my life. My first experience was having to actively care for my sibling while I was in middle and high school while my mother was not home. Making sure the were dressed , made it to the bus, an I cooked and cleaned the home while still being a student. I helped in prenatal, postpartum care for multiple women. Assisting in conscious grocery shopping, clothing care, an appointments. I am very akin to the intentionally an attentiveness the family needs as well given that my mother has nine children. So, in all care I have given I know I am highly equipped to support families of any age range.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I really enjoy educational activities. Crafts with kids, as well as cooking. Taking them out into nature as well. Or just asking what they enjoy so I can also discover new things.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I really believe it is the impact you get to make on the children's lives. Also it takes a village to raise a child and having someone who knows the value of the quality of life is important. The communication and relationship you have with that family who is entrusting with supporting them with their child. I care about Humanity children are the future we need the right people around them.
My experience with special needs children...
Yes I have experience with my mom's friend Mimi watching her son Micah with Angelman syndrome. I also have ADHD myself so I am familiar with just having a neurodiversity. As well as I have had cancer and my sister still actively has cancer.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I got to watch recently Zechariah take his first step it was refreshing.
