I am the one of the oldest children in a generation of 150. I have always been around younger family finding an inclination of caring and nurturing, causing me to be a natural caregiver and chaperone to children. After years of helping younger family I began to meet different people becoming a consistent baby sitter as well as serving as a temporary nanny. I have also given tutoring assistance. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing a plethora of activities that help with child development such as: sensory plat, arts and crafts, math/english games, bulding blocks, Legos, outdoor activities, and puzzles. I many enjoy doing things that allow children to engage in the world around them when they feel up to it.

My experience with special needs children...

Children with Autism, ADHD, Oppositional defiant disorder, and Intellectual disabilities. I have also been around children with suicidal ideation and depressive disorders.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As I've been around more and more toddlers with different walks of life ahead of them I have seen a common thread. You have to teach them everything from speaking all the way to jumping. I was with a 2 year old boy boy engaging in some outdoor play. when he saw me jump over a crack in the pavement. He looked at me a bit perplexed and then tried to mimicking my motion. It was at that moment I realized he did not know how to jump. the next ten minutes where filled with my teaching and his laughter. This is one of my favorite moments when talking care of a child.
