A little bit about me

Hello! I am a graduate from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I am originally from Williamsport, Pennsylvania and I am looking to transition outside of the classroom while still having an impact on children's developmental growth. I have worked with kids my entire life and I just love them! In regards to my professional experience, I have worked with a range of elementary students, students with special needs of all ages, and high school students. I am available full-time and reside in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. I'm able to help with any needs and/or accommodations you may have. I look forward to hearing from you and your little one! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In high school, I was a lifeguard for the baseball players in the Little League World Series. I worked with students with special needs throughout my 4 years in high school. I also babysat a few of my family's friends children. During my study at Shippensburg University, I have worked with early learning students, grade school students, and all ages of students with special needs. In my career, I was an Autistic Support teacher for grades K-3 and a Learning Support teacher for grades 2-3.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing anything your child wants to do! I think giving your child the opportunity to guide their own play allows them to express their creative thinking. I will join your child's play while asking them questions to have them think deeper. I encourage problem solving and emotional regulation. I also love teaching children how to bake!

My experience with special needs children...

In high school, I took a class all 4 years where we worked as mentors for students with special needs in ranging severities. I was a lifeguard for special olympics during their practices and meets. I volunteered as a mentor in my local Penguin Project. During my study at Shippensburg University, I have worked mostly with students with Autism of all ages and range on the spectrum. I have also worked with students with intellectual disabilities to support in reading, math, and social skills.
