A little bit about us

I am a high school teacher and husband is an audio mixer.

We are looking a nanny who is calm and compassionate, passionate about education and arts, and who has ample experience with two kids, newborns and toddlers . (Our babe would be about 6 months in January and our toddler would be 2.5!) our toddler will be in school 3 days a week 830-3.

We are both very laid back artist and educators and want a positive, exploratory type experience for our little one during the day when we are at work.

We also want someone who we also bond with— someone we can think of as part of our family. Someone who will keep in touch with us and make us feel at ease. Safety is our biggest concern hiring a nanny for two kids.

Spanish speaking would be a major bonus as we would love our little one to learn multiple languages from an early age! We are both non-speaking, but practicing Spanish speakers ;)

I do not have any pets and you are not expected to do any chores other than wash and sterilize my baby’s bottles (which I will always leave ready for use in the beginning of the day when you arrive, but then after use they will need to be sterilized) as well as mark down her feeding time in a notebook I keep so it’s easier to track her feeding times and how much she will eat. We have 3 fun, inquisitive boys under 8 who love chess and Harry Potter. We are looking for a sitter for Tuesday, Wed, Thurs afternoons starting around 3 pm in the fall to help pick up the kids from school, engage them, start dinner, and help with bedtime (till 7-8 pm). The perfect person should be fun and engaging with the kids and also able to cook simple meals and help clean up the kitchen afterwards.

Also, the boys are all in Spanish dual language programs so Spanish fluency is a big plus.

This is only a part-time job, so we'd be happy to share the right babysitter with another family.
