A little bit about us

We are a busy, active family looking for the right live-in nanny to become a trusted and valued part of our household and help us care for our daughter.

Our lifestyle can be busy and unconventional at times, so we want to be transparent about what life with our family looks like. For the right person, we think this could be a really unique opportunity, especially for someone who enjoys travel, flexibility, family life, and experiencing new places.

We both work remotely from home, which gives us flexibility. But the nanny hours will be typical 9-5 Mon - Fri with occassional evening/weekends. While we are often nearby, we need someone who can take ownership of our daughter’s care while we work, including playing with her, helping with developmental milestones, preparing meals and bottles, taking walks and outings, and giving her lots of attention and love.

We travel regularly and would love someone who is genuinely excited to travel with us. We have a waterfront lake home where we spend a few weeks at a time, about 3 to 4 times per year. Your work schedule and hours would remain generally the same during the workweek when we travel. You would still have your normal time off, but the lake home is fairly isolated, so there is not a big city or social scene nearby. Someone who enjoys nature, quiet time, and being by the water would probably love it.

We also have family in Southern California, so there may be opportunities to travel there with us. Maureen occasionally travels for work as well, which could create opportunities to see other parts of the country.

Family integration is important to us. We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of an active household, is comfortable traveling and adapting when schedules change, and can feel at home with our family while still having independence, privacy, and personal time.

Above all, we are looking for someone dependable, loving, patient, attentive, flexible, and genuinely excited about caring for our daughter.
