We are looking for a long-term, experienced nanny & household manager for Tuesdays and Thursdays (9-5), starting September 1st in Alexandria (22302).
Care for three boys (8, 5, + 1) while helping keep our home running. We are looking for someone who can step in, see what needs attention, and take ownership of the day, from hands-on care of the baby and keeping the older boys moving to laundry, kitchen resets, tidying + organizing. The balance shifts day to day, so initiative and the ability to see the whole picture are key. Experience with the dynamics of a large family is a plus!

My husband and I are both first time parents to a baby girl who is due on June 1! Although I'm lucky enough to work a full-time hybrid job, I am expected to go back to work by mid-July. We're looking for a caregiver to watch our daughter on Mondays from 8am until 7:30pm and then more flexible hours on Wednesday and Thursday (probably around 9am through 6pm). If we find a family with compatible needs, we would be happy to offer our home to host childcare. We don't have any pets, and we do have a car for transportation as needed.

We might ask for some driving to doctor appointments if needed and for some care of the pets - 2 dogs and 2 cats, but really just to let the dogs out into the fenced back yard a few times during the day.

We would like to find a nanny who can arrive at our house by 7:30 a.m. and stay until approximately 4:30pm, Monday-Friday. The primary care will be for our son, we are looking for a loving and caring nanny who can attend to his needs and engage him with activities and development. When our daughter is not at school she will love to play and take walks to the nearby playgrounds. We also have a Poodle/Irish Setter mix that will not need too much attention besides letting him outside (but he does love play!) We do require that our nanny be on a formal payroll setup. * The 5-year-old is homeschooled, so would be home during your entire shift. You would not be responsible for school work.
* The position includes light housekeeping (kids' play areas, kids' dishes, and kids' laundry).
* We are walkable to multiple green spaces and playgrounds, as well as the Shirlington Library.
* Must be able to provide documentation to legally work in the US, & be willing to have federal and state taxes withheld.
* Perfect role for a student! We have made each of our nannies a part of our family, and have been so sad when they have moved on with their careers post-graduation!
