A little bit about us

Homework help/ Mother’s Helper Wanted – Flexible Hours, Light Housework, and Help with transition to pre-teen life.

I’m looking for a kind, energetic, and organized person to help my daughter with some school work and practice reading (she’s dyslexic) and help me around the house and support a few home projects!

Helping her would be 1 or 2 days afterschool, no earlier than 4/4:30 but it could be later if needed. The rest of the time helping is flexible and will likely be on weekends/school holidays since I’m a teacher.

My daughter is 12 and in 7th grade. We're still purging the little kid stuff and moving on to "cooler" things.

I have some back issues and need help with the physical side of this transition, moving boxes, books, toys, clothes, etc., up and down the stairs. I’m also looking for someone who can help with basic tidying, laundry, dishes, and general house organization.

You don’t need to be a professional organizer, just someone who’s dependable, enjoys a bit of variety, and is happy to lend a hand where needed.

My daughter and I are both neurodiverse, so bonus points if you enjoy chatting and singing while you work!

Flexible start and end times. I'm happy to work around your schedule.

Hi, we have two sons, T and G, ages 5 and 1. They are sweet kids with lots of energy. The older of the two, T, enjoys history, Transformers, and anything to do with cars. The younger, G, enjoys reading and playing with cars. They get along pretty well but sometimes the older can be a bit forceful with his love! G naps approximately two hours in the afternoon and that time is a wonderful opportunity to connect T.
We are looking for someone to watch the 5 year old only on Tuesdays and Fridays from [phone number hidden] and both children on Wednesdays from 8:30-4:00. So a total of about 15 hours a week. Would prefer someone willing to take them out of the house to museums, etc. so having transportation is a bonus. Outside time daily is a must (except during extreme weather). We like to keep baby boy on a consistent schedule as much as possible, so previous knowledge of newborn schedules or willingness to learn is ideal. There will be some down time during naps (perfect for a student) but he needs plenty of interactive play during wake-windows. Preference will be given to caregivers with previous newborn experience.
A little about us: Dad is a physician working at VCU and Mom owns a bakery (which means the occasional treat may make its way home with her!). This is our first child although we do have a fur baby who will also be at home, most likely sunning herself in the window.
