A little bit about me

Hi! I am Julia, a junior at Sequoyah high school ready to help parents and establish a long-term partnership with a family as a part-time nanny. In addition to young childcare experience, I served as volleyball coach to 6th–8th grade girls in fall 2021 giving me balanced exposure to supervising kids of a wide range. In search of Monday-Friday from 4 PM-8 PM (if necessary nine) to allow you to wrap up your work day while I help with homework, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation to school activities. I’m also great with pets! For an additional fee I am glad to walk the dog and scoop litter. My weekends are flexible. I would love to chat about how I can be your regular date night or Saturday morning errands caregiver to help you breathe a little easier. My ideal situation is to establish a trusted partnership with a family, on a regular basis. If you are looking for someone who is responsible, reliable, and excited to work with your family, give me a call!!

A little bit about me

Sweet and reliable nanny that adores children. At home, I am able to help your children complete their homework and after I can keep your children engaged with a number of activities which will broaden their minds (i. e. arts and crafts, learning games). I am fluent in Spanish and would be happy to tutor your children in learning a second language. I am a very responsible, reliable, caring, loving, nurturing, and compassionate person that was raised with excellent values. I have a passion for children, animals, the outdoors, and I encourage exploration and learning. My strengths as a nanny include being able to listen well, follow directions, and I adhere to set schedules. In my personal time I enjoy walking with my dog, hiking, reading, and learning about subjects that interest me. References are available upon request.

What Is an After-School Nanny?

An after-school nanny cares for school-age children on weekday afternoons, usually from school pickup until a parent gets home. It is a part-time role with a regular schedule, which suits nannies who want a consistent shorter day.

Common Responsibilities of After-School Nannies in Woodstock, GA

After-school nannies pick up children from school or the bus stop, give them a snack, and help with homework. They also take children to activities and lessons, supervise play, and may prepare dinner or tidy up after the children before a parent arrives.

What to Consider Before You Hire

Share your school's dismissal time, the days you need care, and how you will handle early dismissals, holidays, and school breaks. Confirm whether you need the nanny to drive, and whether they would be comfortable transporting several children. A regular schedule makes it easier to find a good fit.

After-School Nanny Interview Questions

Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:

  • Are you available at our school's dismissal time every weekday?
  • Do you have a car, and are you comfortable driving children to activities?
  • How would you handle homework and screen time?
  • What would you do if a child was sick or hurt?
  • Do you have experience with school-age children?

At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
