A little bit about us

In need of a nanny to take care of a sweet 1-year-old (15 months) boy while both parents work from home. Baby is currently on a 1-nap schedule and sleeps 2.5-3 hours a day. As he grows, his schedule will adjust accordingly, but we anticipate that he will be on this schedule for a while. He is a happy, easy-going boy, goes down for naps quickly, and is generally a good eater.

What you’ll do:
• Play with, read to, and engage with baby during wake periods (no screens, phones, or tablets)
• Take to local park on nice weather days (park located a few blocks from home)
• Give one snack and lunch
• Put down for single nap using an established nap time routine
• Light housework during 3-hour nap period (folding baby’s laundry twice a week, dinner meal prep daily, lunch prep daily, cleaning up/putting away toys, quick vacuum of play area + kitchen)

Hours, Pay, Time Off:
• Paid hourly at $20 an hour
o Paid through payroll service
• ~35 hours a week
o 10am-5pm Monday-Friday
• 5 paid sick days
• No work scheduled on the following Federal holidays:
o New Year’s Day
o MLK Day
o Presidents’ Day
o Memorial Day
o Juneteenth
o Independence Day
o Labor Day
o Thanksgiving
o Day after Thanksgiving
o Christmas Day
• Additionally, no work scheduled from [phone number hidden]
• If additional no-work days arise (for example, if we plan to go on out of town) we will give at minimum 2 weeks of advanced notice
• If you plan to take time off that is not sick time, we kindly request 2 weeks of advanced notice where possible

Please note that we do have a small (9 lbs.) dog in the house. He is very sweet and a hypoallergenic breed. You are not required to care for the dog, though he may hang around you and the baby from time to time.
