A little bit about us
We are a loving family seeking an experienced and compassionate caregiver to work one-on-one with our incredible 5-year-old son, who has both Down syndrome and autism. He is currently nonverbal and attends ABA therapy during the week.
This is not a traditional babysitting or respite care position. We are specifically looking for someone who can provide ABA-based intervention in our home and actively support his continued development through structured, engaging, and purposeful sessions.
Schedule:
* Saturdays & Sundays
* 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Our Ideal Candidate
We would love to find someone who has significant experience working with children with developmental disabilities, particularly autism. Preference will be given to candidates who are:
* Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
* Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
* ABA therapists or professionals with extensive ABA experience
* Special education professionals or others with comparable experience implementing behavior plans
Responsibilities
* Conduct one-on-one ABA-based learning sessions
* Implement skill acquisition programs and behavior strategies
* Reinforce communication, play, social, adaptive, and daily living skills
* Collect data and communicate progress when appropriate
* Engage our son in meaningful, developmentally appropriate activities
* Collaborate with our family to reinforce consistency across environments
Our goal is to find someone who is patient, energetic, creative, and passionate about helping children reach their full potential. We are looking for a professional who enjoys celebrating small victories and understands that consistency, encouragement, and evidence-based intervention can make a tremendous difference.
If you have a background in ABA or special education and are looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a child’s life, we’d love to hear from you.
