A little bit about us
We’re looking for a great part-time nanny to help care for our infant (read lil chicken nugget).
We’d like to start with 2 days per week for 8 hours to make sure it’s a strong fit, with the expectation that this could move to 3 days per week and potentially more over time.
The main thing we’re looking for is someone who is genuinely good with babies. Not just someone who has availability, but someone who understands infant care, can read cues, knows how to help a baby settle, and brings a calm, confident presence into the home.
What the role includes
The focus is our baby. Typical things would include:
Bottles/feedings
Diaper changes
Naps and helping keep a good sleep rhythm
Tummy time, reading, walks, songs, and age-appropriate play
Washing bottles and baby items used during the day (we have a BabyBrezzaPro to help with that)
Keeping baby areas picked up
Giving us a clear update on how the day went including feeds, naps, diapers, mood, anything notable
This is not a housekeeping job. We’re really looking for someone whose focus is being excellent with our baby.
What we’re looking for
The right person is someone who has cared for infants before and actually enjoys this stage. We’d love someone who understands things like wake windows, hunger cues, tired cues, overstimulation, soothing, and developmentally appropriate play.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Warm, calm, and patient
Reliable and punctual
Experienced with infants
Comfortable following our preferences while also bringing good judgment
Safety-minded
Communicative without needing to be micromanaged
Confident handling bottles, naps, fussiness, and normal baby rhythms
We want someone who takes the role seriously and sees nannying as skilled work.
Requirements
Prior infant care experience
Strong references
Infant CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to get certified
Non-smoker
