We are looking for a great nanny for 2 children in Mount Vernon. We would prefer someone who could help out with drop-off/pickup of our daughter/son to & from the daycare on tuesdays/thursdays. Then baby sit both of them on days that I and my husband works. Also we need help with light housekeeping, meal preparation and baby sit on date nights. We would prefer a nanny who has their own car and who is CPR certified. I and my husband work 12 hours full-time. So we will be needing help from 5:30 a.m. to possibly 7pm

A little bit about us

Hello!

We have a sweet lil 5 month old who is just a happy lil guy. He’s soaking up everything around him and growing so fast (as I’m sure all parents say)! We are looking for someone to watch him as I go back to work part-time July 15-Sept 9. I should be working 7:30-3:30 Tues and Wed and [phone number hidden] on Thurs. There is a possibility that we may extend to a full-time care in September. My husband is recovering from surgery and won’t be able to take care of our lil guy easily until he is healed up. The reason there is a possibility to extend is my husband will likely have another surgery in Sept.

Your main job will be taking care of our lil boy. We do have pets and might just ask for you to let the dogs out once or so during the day. Otherwise, I should be working from home and will be able to feed him. We have started him on solids so might ask for you to feed him off and on. It’ll give me such peace of mind knowing he is well taken care of and really appreciate all the help. Thank you!

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to make sure your expectations are aligned with the family.

There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Washington. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want.
