I am a former first grade teacher and current preschool teacher, working with 2-4 yr. old children. I also owned a business providing an after school enrichment speech/drama program. I have worked with children in various capacities for the past 20+ years. I am extremely energetic and passionate about what I do and come with great references from parents of students I have taught and babysat for. I am a very active individual who loves being outdoors, cycling and walking. In the classroom I enjoy instilling a love of learning to my students. I have been a preschool teacher for the past 19 months and love engaging in fun, multi-sensory/process art projects with students, allowing them to explore and express themselves in creative, fun ways. I have a wide variety of educational materials (puzzles, learning activities, books, etc) that I own personally and would love an opportunity to incorporate these into a childcare situation if age appropriate. I am a very hands-on teacher/caregiver, believing in positive reinforcement and praise to increase a child's self-worth and confidence level, making them feel pride in all that they do. I love to have fun with children and am always one to interact with them in my teaching experiences, both on the playground and in the classroom. The children I care for always know that I love and support them in all that they do. I also love to foster and encourage independence, helping them with tasks along the way, and then encouraging and praising their efforts and accomplishments, making them proud and eager to do more. I decided I wanted to be a teacher when I was in 2nd grade and never wavered from that desire. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education as well as Early Childhood units, and have worked with children for the past 20+ years in a variety of capacities. I am currently looking for a job outside of my preschool setting in an effort to acquire a higher paying job, while still being able to work with children. I am extremely reliable, responsible, organized, & hard-working and can provide references from my superiors at work as well as families that know me from the classroom setting as well as time spent caring for their children in their homes. I would love to find a nanny position that would enable me to continue to work with children and bring the knowledge of my teaching experience to enhance the job. Extensive background checks are on file for my current job.

I helped my mother raise my siblings, since I am the oldest child. Once I was able to have a legal paying job, I immediately searched for childcare jobs. I could never see myself working in a field that does not involve helping develop the mind and care for young children. I have worked in two at-home daycare, babysat for multiple families, and I was a live-out nanny for one family for 8 months. Before I moved to California, I worked in Lincoln, Nebraska for a state-funded program. I worked as a before and after school Teacher Assistant for grades K-5 and in their daycare center with infants-preschool age children. Before my husband got stationed in California, I was attending school majoring in Early Childhood Education. At Family Service, we were required to attend educational classes, be certified in First Aid, Medication, and CPR. I have experience with children with allergies, celiac disease, hemophilia, and Asperger's. I stay active playing sports! I am very big into crafting and love to take fun photos and collect sea shells to make jewelry! I am a good cook and have many fun ways to get your picky eaters to eat their fruits and veggies! I have no problem with doing housework or running errands. I am always open to new activities/routines!

Hello Families! I started babysitting for family friends at a very young age. I have had experience watching children from 4 months to 10 years old. I enjoy households that encourage healthy and educational activities that allow children to use their imagination because I promote this behavior as well. Some of the activities I love doing with children are crafts, coloring, playing sports and games, swimming, and going to the park. The thing I enjoy most about babysitting is the experience to create lasting relationships with the children and the chance to be a positive influence in a child's life.

I have over 7 years experience working in a childcare facility as well as being a nanny for families at times when needed. I love working with infants and watching them grow over the years. Some of my duties of being the lead infant teacher included, safety of the children, organizing, schedules with parents, health of children, keeping things clean and sanitized and most importantly caring for the children and their needs during the day. While as a nanny I worked on school work with their 7 year old girl, picked her up from school, laundry, meal preparation, kept busy, did arts and crafts, games, stories and cared for their animals as well. I have my associates degree and taken college courses in childcare. I also am CPR and First Aide certified. I love being outdoors, walks, the beach, coming up with fun art ideas to surprise parents, swimming field trips when working at the daycare. I enjoy traveling and being with my family.
