A little bit about me

Six years of being a nanny has been a journey filled with fun, love, and unforgettable experiences that have shaped me into the caregiver I am today. Each day spent with the children I've had the pleasure of caring for has been a joyous adventure, and I cherish the relationships I've built with them as if they were my own family.
Universal precautions, early childhood education standards, and CPR certifications are crucial aspects in ensuring the safety and well-being of young children in various settings. As an individual who currently holds certifications in these areas. Background and most recent drug test available!!

A little bit about me

I'm 28 and moved to coupeville a year ago. Looking to further my child care skills. I have customer service skills that help me be social, patient and able to multitask. I worked as a paralegal taught me more on confidentiality and senior care facility that helped me more with responsibilities over living people who depended a lot on me. Also I have culinary skills but working with people that has all different types of needs rather dietary or physical capabilities.
I loved helping in the senior living, helping them and giving them a good life, but I want to help families grow not just help people live.

A little bit about me

Hi! I’m Kailey, I’m 19! you can call me Kay! I have worked as a babysitter throughout high school for toddlers specifically, and then after i graduated I became a babysitter/nanny for one specific family until covid happened and the parents were home. I am very good with kids, good at discipline when needed, can handle emotional outbursts pretty well. I love to interact with what the kids enjoy playing, and I usually get called the cool babysitter for that haha! I love to clean and make the parents feel at ease. So if any laundry needs done, kitchen needs cleaned, kids rooms need cleaned, i’m your girl. I’d rather be doing something then laying around when the babies are sleeping or kids are watching tv. I am an online college student so being a nanny is a perfect job due to having time to also work and do school work when needed. I am also a food lover so your kids will for sure never be hungry! Mac and cheese is my go to!

A little bit about me

Hi! I’m Ali. I am an experienced mother and nanny with a General Studies Bachelor's Degree from IUSB, with a minor in The Foundations of Education. I studied to become an elementary teacher--all the way to student teaching--and had a complete change of heart. Despite great feedback from host teachers and supervisors, I did not feel like I was making the right decision going into the classroom. Although my love for working with children has not changed, I could not see myself in the traditional classroom, meeting the daily, intense demands of a teacher.

Instead, I took my love of teaching and caring for children to the nanny world! Being a nanny allows me to enjoy the parts of teaching I loved, while working for myself in a slower-paced work environment where the individual child can be better focused on. I love watching children grow and learn; I am always looking to learn myself, open to improving my own practices caring for children.

I am always trying crafts, recipes, and games I find from Pinterest. I love being active with the children I care for with trips to the zoo, library, parks, etc. My vehicle (a Ford Flex) is kid-approved, with TVs in the head rests (not used that often, but a life saver in certain situations), seating up to five children in the back. I am grateful to offer families a clean driving record and a reliable form a transportation.

I like to offer families assistance with errands, house cleaning, and any realistic tasks that I can do while nannying for their family. I am not a nanny that will spend "down time" on my phone or sitting around. I believe if I am on the clock working for your family, I am there to help. The children come first, of course, but I will often use nap times or times the children are independently playing to help around the house.

I am a trustworthy, reliable person. I understand your daily schedules revolve around my dependability.

Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have!

A little bit about me

I’m a senior in high school looking for a job that is fun and rewarding. Children are so fun to take care of and why not mix all my passions into one fun job and be a part time nanny. I love to see children learning and growing so to be a part of that journey is special to me.

How to Find a Babysitter in Bremen, IN

Nanny Lane is a child care website meant to help you find a babysitter in your area. Our child care services include background checks, PLUS, and payroll.

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Bremen, IN

Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.

From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Bremen can impact how much you pay your babysitter.

Bremen Babysitter Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a babysitter?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Indiana?
  • Do you have a Indiana driver’s license? Do you own a car?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!

And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
