A little bit about me
I am offering child care, dog care, and household services. I love being a nanny and babysitter! I have been watching newborns, infants, toddlers, and kids (including twins!) since I was about 15 years old. I have younger siblings of my own, so I've always been the designated caretaker (can't escape that being the older sibling!).
My responsibilities included driving to/from school, crafts, tutoring, and even after-school activities. I'm open to helping around the living space as needed.
I can cook, drive to appointments, or do other tasks. I am highly allergic to cats, but happy to work with families with dogs. I am willing to provide any additional information or even my resume

A little bit about me
I have over three years of experience caring for children of all ages, especially from 5 months to 6 years old. I currently take care of three children (ages 1, 3, and 6), which has given me strong experience managing different routines and needs at the same time.
I am CPR trained and also have experience with children in swimming pools. I love animals and feel very comfortable in homes with pets.
I'm currently looking for extra work on weekends, including overnight care.
Feel free to reach out - I'd love to connect!

A little bit about me
I have always enjoyed working with children because they bring so much joy and creativity into the world. I have always found it rewarding to be such a positive influence on their growth and development. My approach to nannying is rooted in play-based learning and fostering independence. I love organizing creative activities like art projects, sensory play, and age-based science experiments/activities. I'm also a big fan of outdoor adventures – park trips, nature walks, and other outdoor activities. I understand that every child is unique, and I'm skilled at adapting my approach to meet their individual needs and personalities.

A little bit about me
I have experience working with children through various roles, including as for the last two years as a camp counselor in Texas, where I spent a month living with and taking care of a group of about fifty 10 year olds and then with those same kids the next year when they were 11, and as a ski instructor at the children’s ski school at Stevens Pass in Washington State. I’ve also run educational programs through religious initiatives, which involved organizing creative, age-appropriate activities for kids 5-14. I've also worked here and there as a mothers-helper/babysitter for family and friends.
I have a dog, have done dog sitting and am comfortable around pets. I don't have a car but have had my license for 3 years without any accidents. My counselor training has equipped me with valuable skills for handling challenges, ensuring safety, and fostering a positive environment for kids to thrive.

A little bit about me
I am creative, calm, and reliable. I have good experience caring for children, including internships in kindergarten classrooms. I can easily commute anywhere accessible by public transit.
As a native French speaker, I’d be happy to teach your kids the language if you’d like ! I understand English well, but I am still learning to speak it, so practicing with children will be great. I love arts and crafts and would love to help your family! (Note: I am allergic to cats).

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Boston, MA
Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.
From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Boston can impact how much you pay your babysitter.
Boston Babysitter Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a babysitter?
- What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Massachusetts?
- Do you have a Massachusetts driver’s license? Do you own a car?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!
And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
