A little bit about me
I’m passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn and grow. I have experience with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, potty training, nap schedules, and early learning activities. I also value strong communication with families and always aim to build trusting, positive relationships.
I’m currently pursuing my degree in Early Childhood Education, which helps me bring both hands-on experience and educational knowledge into my care. I’m reliable, patient, and attentive, and I truly love working with children and helping them reach important developmental milestones.

A little bit about me
I’m 15 years old (turning 16 in early October 2025) and currently a student at Somerset Berkley Regional High School, where I’m proud to be on the honor roll. While I don’t have professional babysitting experience yet, I’ve had lots of hands-on experience caring for my five younger siblings, who range in age from 3 months to 8 years old. I help out with everything from diaper changes to playtime and bedtime routines.
I’m kind, empathetic, and very mature for my age. I’m also great at thinking on my feet and handling situations calmly and responsibly. I’d love the opportunity to help take care of your children and make sure they feel safe and happy!

Unless plans change, I intend on only doing this job during the summer, so please plan accordingly. I am flexible in my work hours since it will be summer vacation and there won’t be school, however they must be in accordance with child labor laws in Massachusetts. I am also flexible in pay, and am open to negotiation.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

A little bit about me
I just completed a national and state of Massachusetts fingerprints & background check I am happy to share!
I have worked in education, special education, childhood psychology, and private childcare for over 10 years. I enjoy incorporating art, music, movement, and learning into fun activities for children. I am CPR & First Aid Certified and received a Rhode Island Teacher Assistant Certification. I also completed a current background and fingerprint check in the state of Massachusetts this month (June, 2025). I am flexible with working hours, but just moved to the area so was unsure of what schedule I would find in the area. I do not have a car, but I bike and have a valid driver's license and clean record. I am a non-smoker, love all animals, and am more than happy to help cook and clean. I have experience working with all ages from infancy to young adults with special needs. I am a musician and am willing to throw in free lessons as well!

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Somerset, MA
Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.
From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Somerset can impact how much you pay your babysitter.
Somerset Babysitter Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a babysitter?
- What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Massachusetts?
- Do you have a Massachusetts driver’s license? Do you own a car?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!
And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
