A little bit about me…

I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old, and grew up as the oldest of four children. During high school and college I also worked at several after school programs and summer camps for school aged children. After graduating from Emerson College (Boston) in 2008 with a BFA in Musical Theatre/ Theatre Education I began my career as a professional nanny. I was a full time (50 hours) nanny for 2.5 year old twins, a boy and girl. Following this job I worked at a childhood enrichment center where I spent time with children of all ages and backgrounds. In April 2009 my husband and I moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina where I was a full time nanny for over a year with a family. When I started the little girl was 14 months and her brother was turning 3. This family informed me that they would be moving away, and my husband and I took a 9 month excursion to Los Angeles, California where we have many friends. There I worked at several part time nanny jobs, including 4 days/week with two different 20 month old children and Saturdays with a 6 year old girl and 8 year old boy. Finally, we were ready to head back to New England to finally settle down. We have moved back to my hometown of Newtown, CT. I have experience with potty training, twins, minor behavioral disorders. I am used to having 2 carseats in my car at all times, and handling 2 little ones at once.
