I worked in a home daycare for two and a half years. The children's ages ranged from infant to school-aged. From there I went on to a daycare center where I worked primarily in the Infant and Toddler rooms. It was there that a couple approached me and asked if I would be interested in caring for their children in their home. At that time, I was the supervisor of the Infant and Toddler rooms and the couples youngest daughter had been with me since she was two months old. That daughter was a year and a half when I became their nanny. I spent a little over three years with that family. The husband lost his job and they could no longer afford me, so I was let go. While I was there, I performed many duties: made breakfast and lunch for the children, did laundry, light housekeeping (ie. vacuuming, dusting, dishes), picked the children up from school and ran errands.
After this family, I worked for a family with three kids. At the time their youngest was 10 months and the oldest was 8. I was with this family for 4 years. When the youngest started kindergarten, I had to move on.
