My past childcare experiences include babysitting for numerous families. When I first started babysitting, it was for my neighbor, who only had one girl. She was an only child that was dealing with a step - father whom she did not approve of, and a troubled family at the time. It was a challenge at first, but personally I believe it helped me become a more patient person and taught me how to work with a troubled child. She was at an age she understood what was going on, and her parents spoiled her since she was never happy. It was an interesting summer, but I think that after working with the girl and letting her know that I cared and was there, it was awesome to see her have someone there for her every day and having fun. Secondly I babysat for a family with two boys, age 9 and 4. Of course they had a lot of energy, so they kept me in great shape always being on the move! We spent almost every day at the pool and I even experienced the 4 year olds very first time jumping of the diving board. It was so exciting helping him find the courage to do something like that! :) I also had the responsibility of taking them to bible school for a week during the summer; I am a very safe driver and can carefully take any age of child where they need to be. Lastly I babysat the sweetest little 6 month old girl. She was my first infant that I had babysat alone, it is more work making sure they get fed the correct amount of formula, and burped when needed. Even though it was a lot of diaper changing and rocking time I loved every minute of it! :) A mother has to trust someone a lot to leave their newborn with another individual and I feel that I earned that trust with the mother and took care of her baby as I would if it was mine. Their so fragile and small, that it is crucial you take extra special care! Not only do I have babysitting experience in the past, but I have been a counselor at Day Camp for 5+ years and now am a teacher. Through 4-H we hold an annual day camp for K - 2 graders, in which as a counselor we are in charge of a group from 10 to 15 children that we keep track of all day; taking them to different activities, helping them with arts and crafts, games and listening to others. Prior to the day camp we also plan every activity and set up the areas, so it really makes us use our imagination and creative side. I am now a teacher for the day camp and now have the responsibility of being in charge of a whole activity helping the counselors and teaching the children. With all my experience through babysitting, day camps, clover colleges, and mentoring, I have come to love working with children and plan on doing that with my life after college. I still do babysit on weekends, or even weeks when a family or friend need some extra help, but really want to do it full/part time again for one family. :)

My mother has run a daycare out of our home since I was three, so I've been around kids every day for practically my entire life. I started most of my babysitting alone when I was about 10. I'm home every day with my mother and the kids, and I babysit alone when she has to leave for my siblings' sporting events or doctor's appointments. Right now I nanny for two families. One is for an 8-year-old boy, everyday from 3:30-6:30/9:30 at night; and occasionally for the second family from 2-11. I'm looking for something more full-time, and both of these families are aware of this. I'd love to get out of Nebraska (with my gift for being with children, I think I belong elsewhere). I have worked with kids in a before and after school program. I'm very good with all ages. I have not worked with any special needs children, other than ADD/ADHD. However, my older brother is a former employee of a company in my town that houses children/adults with disabilities, so I was often around his younger clients: autism, epilepsy, Asperger's, etc. I wouldn't mind learning more about working with disabled children. Pay depends on the number of children and their ages. We can work something out. I wouldn't mind cooking (love it) or doing some light housework. I have babysat for a few families for several years (one family I've been with for 6 years, and another for 3). I would really love to work long-term with one family. I'm very creative so I love doing little art projects, and I love to read. I was accepted into Brooks Institute in California my senior year of high school, but my family didn't support my decision to go there, so I stayed in little ol' Lincoln, NE. I'm really energetic. I love reading, I love learning. Even at 19, I'm still learning so much about life and people and I absolutely love it. I have a huge personality! My family is also very athletic. Both my sisters did 3 sports, I've played basketball, tennis, and softball. I just recently renewed my certificate in First Aid and CPR (including infants). I'm willing to answer any other questions you may have. I'm an extremely honest person, there is nothing I will keep from you. It would be very nice if the family considering me for a position could speak not only to my references, but to my mother as well. She's also a good reference, and means a lot to me. Ask me anything, tell me about your family. I'll tell you more about myself as well. I really hope you consider me for a position, you won't regret it!

My experience in childcare began when I first reached an age my parents deemed old enough to stay home and care for my younger siblings. I am the second oldest in a family of seven so I have been babysitting and caring for my siblings for years. Around that same time I also began to babysit for families in my church. I cared for all ages from infants to 13 and up. Sometimes I was only caring for one child and other times I would be in charge of five children. A few summers back I was a live-out nanny for two children ages 9 and 11 just for the duration of the summer. I also helped nanny a family of five last summer. Besides just childcare I was in charge of transportation, laundry, cooking meals, feeding animals and pets, cleaning the house, and everything in between. I would be at the house before the children woke up in the morning and stay there until the parents arrived home later in the evening. Currently I am employed at a childcare center. The ages range from infants to kindergarten age and I have experience working with all ages there. Typically I am with one year olds but I have cared for all the other ages there as well.

I have had a lot of varied experience with children, from working in a daycare setting to working with them on mission trips to Honduras (twice) and spending time in an orphanage in Brazil. I have also babysat through the years. I tend to bond well with children associated in my life, and have a nursing background with CPR and first aid certification. I believe my experience with children and nursing background are real helpful assets. I have worked as a nurse for years, and am transitioning to working as a nanny as a full-time career. (I plan to maintain my nursing license, working shifts on occasion when I'm available/time permits in an area I love). I hope to hear from you if interested by email or phone. I can provide CPR/first aid card, nursing license card and other info. requested.

I will be getting my first aid, CPR, and life guarding license in April. I have experience babysitting as well as other jobs in my home town. I have been a volunteer church camp counselor the past three summers but feel God pointing me in a different direction. Along with being a camp counselor I'm also a mentor during the school year for an underprivileged child. I am looking for a loving family that will let me be a part of their lives this summer! I am willing to cook and clean, and actually enjoy both. I'm a fun 19 year old and am both responsible and easy going!

I worked for a family where I took care of 3 children age 4 and twins who were 14 months old. I fed, and played with the kids while they were awake. During nap time I would clean and pick up around the house. After 9 months they decided to go with an in home daycare because it was cheaper. Before them I was the nanny of a family of four children ages 14,14,10,4 for about two months. Due to family changes they were no longer in need of me. I picked the children up from school, took them to their after school activities, made sure they were all fed, picked up the house, did laundry, and played with the kids. I also did many overnights while the parents were out of town. I also nannied for my aunt and uncle for about a month and a half in their home. Their children were ages 6 and 8. The boy age eight has Asperger's and the girl age 6 has type 1 Diabetes. I was in charge of her blood sugar and making sure it stayed within the safe zone. Also I was in charge of monitoring what she ate and how much insulin to give her. I planned out activities for the children to do inside and outside. I was in charge of disciplining them and organizing daily activities for them to do. I also babysat for a family and their infant of 8 months. It was over a span of a couple of months. I would feed, play with, and change the babies diaper while the mother was working or running errands. I have been involved with many other families on different occasion by babysitting for them, or just helping out the mother. I have worked at 4 different daycare's ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Most of my time was spend with kids 6 weeks to 2 1/2.
