My mother has run a daycare out of our home since I was three, so I've been around kids every day for practically my entire life. I started most of my babysitting alone when I was about 10. I'm home every day with my mother and the kids, and I babysit alone when she has to leave for my siblings' sporting events or doctor's appointments. Right now I nanny for two families. One is for an 8-year-old boy, everyday from 3:30-6:30/9:30 at night; and occasionally for the second family from 2-11. I'm looking for something more full-time, and both of these families are aware of this. I'd love to get out of Nebraska (with my gift for being with children, I think I belong elsewhere). I have worked with kids in a before and after school program. I'm very good with all ages. I have not worked with any special needs children, other than ADD/ADHD. However, my older brother is a former employee of a company in my town that houses children/adults with disabilities, so I was often around his younger clients: autism, epilepsy, Asperger's, etc. I wouldn't mind learning more about working with disabled children. Pay depends on the number of children and their ages. We can work something out. I wouldn't mind cooking (love it) or doing some light housework. I have babysat for a few families for several years (one family I've been with for 6 years, and another for 3). I would really love to work long-term with one family. I'm very creative so I love doing little art projects, and I love to read. I was accepted into Brooks Institute in California my senior year of high school, but my family didn't support my decision to go there, so I stayed in little ol' Lincoln, NE. I'm really energetic. I love reading, I love learning. Even at 19, I'm still learning so much about life and people and I absolutely love it. I have a huge personality! My family is also very athletic. Both my sisters did 3 sports, I've played basketball, tennis, and softball. I just recently renewed my certificate in First Aid and CPR (including infants). I'm willing to answer any other questions you may have. I'm an extremely honest person, there is nothing I will keep from you. It would be very nice if the family considering me for a position could speak not only to my references, but to my mother as well. She's also a good reference, and means a lot to me. Ask me anything, tell me about your family. I'll tell you more about myself as well. I really hope you consider me for a position, you won't regret it!
