A little bit about me

I am a mother, I have been a caregiver previously and recently just moved back to Houston with my daughter,
To care for my mother. I was previously a medical assistant, phlebotomist and attended the first year of nursing school before getting married and becoming a full-time Mother, hairdresser, business owner, caretaker and wife, lol. I'm very dependable, outgoing, reliable, fun, easy to talk to and very patient. My daughter spent 4 years in the hospital, every month, so I became Her catertaker.
I am pretty easy going and have always been a people person. I previously was a nanny for family in lakeway, 2 children ages 2 and 7 for 5 years. I have also been a caregiver for a close family friend who was 65 and retired with some medicals issues. I have been the careraker for my family whenever the need has come up. I am currently an independent contractor and I am giving rides to doctors appointments and delivering prescriptions. Love people ❤️

"Teirtsa was employed by my sister Samantha and her husband Gregory. My children were often at my sisters so she watched both of our children of many occasions. Teirtsa was great with our kids, when she started she was responsible for my sisters boys, then ages 1 and 7. She is like family to us. She joined us during a time that was difficult on our family and she was a God-send from day one! Teirtsa is loyal, Trustworthy, caring, loving, respectful, responsible and truly an amazing person. My sister Samantha had just lost her third son from SIDS and needed her more than I can say. She helped Samantha with anything and everything you could ask for. My children 2 of them, 1 girl age 3, and a boy age 10. My kids were often there during spring break, summers and some weekends. I truly can not imagine having gone thru that time without her smiling face! My sister Samantha Van de Putte, unfortunately passed away and I would be more than happy to refer Teirtsa to anyone 100 times over!"

A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Shannon and I have been in the childcare field for over 30 years! I’m an artist I graduated from the artist institute of Houston in 1991. I’m a homebody who likes to scrapbook, watch movies, and I adore animals! I have a standard poodle who is my baby( now) and two kitties as well. I have two sons of my own who are grown one is 28, one is 25. I love to spend time with them as much as I am able. I enjoy spending quality time with children and helping them learn through play. I enjoy helping people and also love learning new things.
I am currently at a children’s lighthouse in an infant class with 10 babies. I am looking for something long-term where I can have more of a one on one with the children I care for.
