Job Summary:
We are seeking a warm, reliable, and detail-oriented Family Helper to support our household with meal preparation, light cleaning, and occasional childcare. The ideal candidate will be skilled in vegan, soy-free cooking and comfortable creating a variety of nutritious, toddler-friendly meals. Additionally, this role includes occasional babysitting duties, including playing with our 2-year-old and assisting with naptime or bedtime routines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare daily meals and snacks, focusing on diverse, nutrient-dense vegan and soy-free options for the family
• Develop a rotating menu to keep meals interesting and appealing for a picky toddler
• Manage grocery shopping, meal planning, and inventory, prioritizing fresh, whole foods
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including dishwashing, counters, and trash disposal
• Assist with basic household cleaning tasks (e.g., vacuuming, dusting, laundry)
• Occasional babysitting duties, including engaging in age-appropriate play, assisting with naptime or bedtime routines, and creating a calm, comforting environment
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding meal preferences, dietary restrictions, and any food-related concerns
Qualifications:
• Experience in household support, nannying, or family assistance
• Strong cooking skills with experience in vegan, soy-free, and toddler-friendly meal prep
• Understanding of toddler care, including engaging play, calming strategies, and gentle naptime/bedtime routines
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Warm, calm, and patient demeanor
• CPR and First Aid certified (preferred)
• Background check required
