Full time Nanny wanted for a lovely family of 7 in Los Altos. Family has 5 children (3 of them 50% of the week), with the older 3 being quite independent, and the toddler and newborn needing the most support. Looking for a very family oriented, enthusiastic, active, caring and nurturing individual. Parents are present at home and very involved in raising the children, but need an extra set of hands.
We would love to find a nanny who can stay with us for several years and is committed to long term employment. We would greatly value someone with 5+ years of experience as a nanny, with newborn experience. Ideally, looking for a candidate that brings great energy and ideas to engage and entertain children in a way that will help them reach milestones and find joy in every day.
Prefer multi-lingual candidate, Portuguese preferred, previous Nanny spoke Portuguese and English to youngest 2 children from birth.
Benefit package offered including paid vacation, paid holidays, sick pay and health insurance stipend.
Typical workday is Monday - Friday 12pm-8pm, with the 4 oldest children in summer camp/school year round. Position is currently live-out, but could discuss live-in options if necessary. Flexibility to work extended hours, but we’ll provide the additional hours well in advance. Ability to travel with family on occasions.
Nanny Qualities and Skills Required:
- 5 years of experience
- Non-smoker
- Bilingual preferred (English and Portuguese)
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Organization skills
- CPR and first-aid certification
Responsibilities:
- Support with children
- Lite kids meal cooking plus
snacks, meal warming
- Possible meal prep
- Lite Laundry
- Light housekeeping
- Planning activities and outings
- Pet friendly - dog
- Occasional errands with kids (grocery store, driving to activities)
