A little bit about me…

I have worked with kids of all ages for 6 years now. My experience as a swim instructor at a summer camp, an assistant teacher at a daycare, and as a ski instructor have given me the tools to be prepared for anything while working with kids. I am comfortable with all ages, am a good helper with school work and have many fun crafts and activities up my sleeve! I enjoy working with parents and kids to find the best situation for everyone. I have years of experience with kids with special needs. In addition I am a great food preparer-and due to my own diet I can create healthy substitutions! I am CPR and first aid certified, though hopefully I never should need to use those skills. I am calm under pressure and am hard to distract while driving. I hope to find a great family to help and work with.

A little bit about me…

I am a well mannered, articulate and responsible nanny with a great deal of experience and interest in children and their development. A confident child carer who is mature and has the ability to develop close relationships with both children and families.
Excellent communication skills, able to relate well with people and converse in a polite and courteous manner. Able to present a positive image to others.
I have found my nanny profession to be a very rewarding experience. I love to watch children learn and grow, while teaching them kindness, sharing, compassion and love.
I love the innocent, unconditional love and excitment that young children exhibit.
I truly love working with children. They are spontaneous and very perceptive.
Always admiring children's honesty, creativity, endless energy and their resilience. Their honesty and sense of humor is so refreshing. Working with children is truly my passion. When you are doing something that you love, you truly shine.. Knowing that my job is to help children achieve their full potential, brings a huge smile to my face.
I am proud that I have what it takes to be a nanny. It takes talent and skill that only some posses.
I am a sharing, caring, artistic and sincere person. I value the simple things in life, my family, staying healthy and nature. I love people of all ages, but I have a special place in my heart for children. I have a strong work ethic, enjoy cooking and pride myself on being organized.

A little bit about me…

I started off as a Red Cross certified babysitter when I was 11 years old and continued to babysit into my early 20’s. Between the ages of 11 and 15 I volunteered at a local summer camp for mentally and physically challenged individuals between the ages of 3 to 21. I assisted the counselors with their daily activities and schedule planning including; art activities, educational activities, fitness activities and socialization skills. Between the ages of 16 and 20 I worked in two separate day care programs in my home town of Glastonbury, CT. The first facility I worked in was The Stork Club, where I was an assistant teacher for the three year old preschool class for the first year of employment. For the remaining 6 months I worked closing with the “step up” group which where children in the age range between infant and toddler, about 14 to 26 months. The second facility I worked at was KinderCare, where I worked solely in the “step up” room for my entire one and a half years of employment. Within both of these facilities and the different classrooms, I would assist with planning and implementing daily activities which were always within the NAEYC guidelines. Activities included; reading and quite time, group activity, art, music, and large and fine motor skill activities, along with, of course, meal time, nap time, recess, and within the “step up” rooms, also working on potty training skills. I was also responsible in monitoring and documenting the children’s progress in the program, and working closely with the parents to keep them informed and updated of their child’s progress. Currently I work at a daycare facility in Avon, CT working with infants and young toddlers ages 6 weeks to about 16 months. I feel the involvement in early childhood education through my teen years is the driving force which is inspiring me to complete my college credentials and make this my career. I truly love working with children of all ages, inspiring their young minds to be thoughtful, creative, inventive and curious of the world around them.
