A little bit about me

I have been working with children since 2001 when my son (at the time 5 years old) was diagnosed with Autism. I left my corporate career working for Deutsche Bank as a credit manager to work in the schools as a para-professional and teacher's assistant to special needs children so that I could be close to my son and on his schedule. When my son reached middle school age, I then began working for a private school bus company that transported handicapped and special needs children to and from school. I worked as a special needs bus aide for 7 years. Last September, I moved to North Jersey from South Jersey and have been a Nanny to a very sweet little 4 years old boy. I just want to find something closer to where I reside as last winter made things very difficult to travel to work which is more than 8 miles away from my residence. I love children. They love me. I am always finding something fun to do whether it be arts and crafts, playing games or just being supportive of their imaginative play times. Books are a big love for me. I love reading to children. I also love music and have been quite musically inclined, throughout my own life. I love animals so if yours are nice, I'm all in. If they are nasty and snarling, I'm not your girl. I am up beat and love a setting where things are laid back. The less stress around the child, the better the child will grow. I truly believe that. I hope you do, too.
