A little bit about us
My husband and I are looking for a caring, reliable nanny for our two children: Freyja (3) and Larkin (18 months). We are located in the Providence Village area of Huntsville, AL, and are looking for childcare beginning Thursday, June 25th.
I am a therapist currently building my caseload, so our childcare needs will vary from week to week. Care will generally be needed on weekdays between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM, but hours may be shorter, start later, or occasionally not be needed on certain days. We are hoping to find someone with some flexibility who is comfortable with a changing schedule.
Pay is $15/hour.
While we're away, we'd love someone who can focus on engaging with the children through play, reading, meals/snacks, and diaper changes or potty needs. We follow a primarily screen-free approach and would appreciate someone who is comfortable supporting that philosophy, though there are occasional exceptions.
A little about the kids:
• Freyja loves books, imaginative play, and performing her own interpretive dances. She has a big personality and loves making people laugh.
• Larkin is an active little guy who loves exploring, running around, and cuddling up with his sister for story time. He's babbling nonstop and taking in the world around him.
We also have a cat and a dog, but no pet care is expected. We will handle our pets' needs before and after work hours, so your focus would simply be on the children.
We are looking for light housekeeping as well, as the children have an overlapping nap schedule and a quick load of the dish washer, move of laundry to the dryer ext would be exceptional!
If this sounds like a good fit, we'd love to hear from you! Please tell us a little about yourself, your childcare experience, and your availability.
