A little bit about us
We’re looking to replace our current Mother’s Helper, who had to step away due to health issues. She was down to working Wednesday evenings from about 3:00–9:30pm, so that is the schedule we’d like to start with.
We’d love to find someone dependable, warm, and playful and really looking for someone who connects with our family beyond a babysitter, someone who becomes more of a family friend type of vibe where we are interested in your success as much as you are in ours.
The role is simple but meaningful: spend time playing and engaging with our older two girls, making sure they are fed, cared for, and ready for bed so Mom and Dad can accomplish other goals. The girls love crafts, games, and playing outside. They are fun, kind, and easy to direct. We don’t expect you to discipline them, but we do want clear direction with responsibility such as cleaning up after themselves. During downtime (when they’re asleep), we’d appreciate help keeping the house tidy.
The baby will mostly be with Mom, but that may change as she grows.
We’d like to begin with Wednesday nights for continuity and see how things evolve. There may be opportunities for more hours, but that is currently uncertain.
About our girls:
9-year-old: very bright and imaginative, loves every kind of craft.
6-year-old: full of energy, makes friends easily, and is always ready for fun.
1 Year old: calm, sweet, and learning about the world (will mostly stay with Mom for now).
I (Dad) also run two other businesses, including an e-commerce company. If you’re interested and the fit is right, there could be opportunities for extra work beyond childcare to make this closer to full-time.

A little bit about us
Our daughter (8) is energetic and very imaginative. She loves swimming and crafts.
Our son (11) loves playing games, playing outside, sports, and swimming. He also loves to draw.
In addition to playing with the kids (taking them to parks, our local waterpark, science city, play dates, etc.) responsibilities would include: helping with daily homework, cleaning dishes/keeping kitchen clean, picking up the house, wash/dry/fold laundry, making meals for the kids for lunch, and making sure they are eating healthy snacks throughout the day.
- Non-smoker
- Spanish-speaking is preferred. Would love to have the kids learn Spanish and someday be fluent in Spanish.
- CPR and First Aid certified is a plus
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to take kids to events around the city. Our oldest doesn't need a car seat, but our daughter still uses one.
- Strong swimmer. We have a pool in our backyard, so knowing how to swim and being able to engage with them while in the pool is a requirement.
- Special education experience is a plus. Our daughter has ADHD so doing homework consistently throughout the summer is a big priority for us to make sure she stays on track for next year. Her current areas of need are math and spelling.
We also have a small Cavapoo dog, Belle. She's very friendly and loves to snuggle.
Wife, Denise, works from home one or two days a week. Keeping the kids entertained while she is working from home is a priority.
Dad, Justin, works construction and will be handing off most mornings and afternoons.
