A little bit about us

We’re looking for a wonderful person to come alongside our family as a Mother’s Helper (something between a nanny and babysitter). As of Nov. 2025, we have three amazing daughters, 8, 5, and 7 months, each with their own unique personality. (We also have 2 cats at our house which wont be an issue unless you are allergic.)

We’re looking to replace our current Mother’s Helper, who had to step away due to health issues. She was down to working Wednesday evenings from about 3:00–9:30pm, so that is the schedule we’d like to start with.

We’d love to find someone dependable, warm, and playful and really looking for someone who connects with our family beyond a babysitter, someone who becomes more of a family friend type of vibe where we are interested in your success as much as you are in ours.

The role is simple but meaningful: spend time playing and engaging with our older two girls, making sure they are fed, cared for, and ready for bed so Mom and Dad can accomplish other goals. The girls love crafts, games, and playing outside. They are fun, kind, and easy to direct. We don’t expect you to discipline them, but we do want clear direction with responsibility such as cleaning up after themselves. During downtime (when they’re asleep), we’d appreciate help keeping the house tidy.

The baby will mostly be with Mom, but that may change as she grows.

We’d like to begin with Wednesday nights for continuity and see how things evolve. There may be opportunities for more hours, but that is currently uncertain.

About our girls:

8-year-old: very bright and imaginative, loves every kind of craft.

5-year-old: full of energy, makes friends easily, and is always ready for fun.

7-month-old: calm, sweet, and learning about the world (will mostly stay with Mom for now).

I (Dad) also run two other businesses, including an e-commerce company. If you’re interested and the fit is right, there could be opportunities for extra work beyond childcare to make this closer to full-time.

A little bit about us

Hello, I'm Chelsea! I'm a mom of three children. Mackenzie is five, Quinn is 2.5, and Emmitt is due in mid-April.
My children have been in daycare since they were each 12 weeks old. Now that we're expecting baby #3, we're looking for a nanny.
My husband and I are both small business owners. He's in lawn care, I work from home and do media relations for retirement communities in California. Both of us are graduates of Kansas State University.
We're looking for a nanny who loves the outdoors and would like to spend plenty of time with our kiddos on our land (3 acres), doing puzzles and reading books. My daughter will be starting kindergarten in August, so we're looking for a nanny from April to August. Most of the time would be spent with the two older children, with some work with the newborn (very limited) so I could send emails and write during the day.
We are looking for summer programs for Mackenzie (gymnastics, etc.), so we may also have some pick-up duties.
We are a Christian family (Catholic), so having someone comfortable with this is essential, as my children will be talking about their faith. I try my best to limit screen time with my children, but an hour or two is fine. We are working on potty training with my 2.5-year-old, and he just needs a little extra help to get him to the finish line (no pun intended).
Fees are negotiable and we will do a background check.
