Desired: CPR certified, drivers license.

If you are interested, please contact us! Thank you!

A little bit about us

We have been unbelievably lucky to have a nanny share with an amazing nanny and beautiful extended family for four years. Our other family is moving and we are looking to find some lovely new people to take their place.
It would be with our 9 month old (his 4 year old big brother goes to all day daycare / preschool).

our nanny (Sara) takes care of the kids together for 40 hours per week Monday thru Thursday. Ideally we would like to keep her in the new share but up for negotiation and you should meet her of course before we make that decision together. we split that down the middle between the two families. Seriously one of the best deals in childcare!!

We are open to where the share occurs. Right now we have the kids at our place two days a week and at the other’s the other 2 days. Works nicely for the days I want to work from home. We do have a dog (an extremely friendly and lazy one).

A little bit about us

Looking for care Monday, Wednesday and Fridays (8-10 hour days) for our 4.5 month old in the fall of 2024. I am a pediatric nurse so looking for 2-3 flexible days per week with approximate times 8am-5pm (no weekends). We have a sweet 40lb pup as well! No pick up/ drop off responsibilities and pet care would only consist of letting the dog out in our fenced yard (walks with the pup only if you feel comfortable and enjoy that!) Open to nanny share at our house or another family house in the neighborhood!

A little bit about us

Hi! Our boy Evan is soon-to-be 4 months old, healthy and sweet. My wife is on maternity leave but I am working, and we can (seriously!) use an additional pair of hands to help out during weekdays for the next couple of weeks with my work getting busier. The time schedule will be likely Mon - Fri, 1 - 5p, and the duty would be mostly putting the baby to sleep, feeding him, and probably playing with him at home. I may work from home sometime, and the schedule will be a bit more flexible in that case.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Evanston, IL

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Evanston, IL

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Evanston, IL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
