A little bit about us

We are looking for a Nanny for our three year old and 10 month old! We are in the midst of moving to Olathe so we are looking for someone who could come to our apartment for a month until our house is ready in April.

I work remotely and in office occasionally. Since the apartment won’t have a dedicated office space, I will go to another location to allow for fun & naps to be had.

We are looking for someone who values education, reading stories, engaging through sensory play and screen-free games, pretend play, art, etc.

We would like to have someone who has worked in a daycare facility or has had experience with multiple kids (one being a baby) before. A consistent routine is a must-have!

Start date would be next Thursday, March 9th with a consistent schedule of 8:30am to 3pm M-F with once a month date night (optional). Two weeks vacation.

A little bit about us

Ryan and I have lived in Kansas City for the past 9 years and have two wonderful little boys "H" and "J". We are proud parents 24/7, but also working professionals throughout the day. J and H have spent their days with our amazing nanny who is now expecting to expand her family, so we are looking to find a full time nanny prepared love and teach our boys throughout the day. We would love to have a full-time nanny to assist in helping J & H to learn, develop and grow on Monday through Friday of each week. J & H also have a furry brother named Teddy, a 4. 5 yr old mini bernedoodle. Teddy spends some days at home and others at daycare to burn some energy. Teddy is great with J & H and loves people, but may need to be let out the backdoor to our fenced in yard a couple of times during the day. No other major chores are requested, just keeping up with feeding, nap and play schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We are planning to have J start pre-school in the fall from 8am-11 a.m. daily and will need transportation.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Overland Park, KS

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Overland Park, KS

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Overland Park, KS? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
