A little bit about us

I have 2 young girls, 15 months and 6 months. And I also have a 14 year old son. I would like someone who could watch my 2 younger kiddos in my home. My hours for work are going to be Friday and Saturday 1:15pm to 9:15pm, Sunday from 10am to 6pm and Monday and Tuesday from 6:45am to 2:45pm. And I have Wednesdays and Thursdays off. Now I’m probably not going to be at work that whole time but I’ll need to be on call during those hours. My 15 month old daughter’s father would have her every other weekend so you wouldn’t have both kiddos every weekend. I may also need help with getting my 14 year old to school on Monday and Tuesday every other week and possibly with picking him up from school every other Friday.

A little bit about us

We are newly weds and first time parents expecting our first bundle of joy. We are beyond thrilled to become parents!! We both work from home and when we're not working we enjoy going to the gym, playing tennis or doing anything outside! Mom is from Nebraska and dad is from Mississippi.

We'd like for you to take care of our child while we are at work in the house. Example: feeding, nap time, play time.

We want our child to have little to no screen time in the first year, so we'd like for you to come up with better ways to entertain the baby and yourself during the day.

The location will be inside of our home and the schedule is flexible. If one of us doesn't have meetings all day, we will most likely be out of our offices and helping/playing with the child.

What is an Infant Nanny in Overland Park, KS

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Overland Park, KS? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
