A little bit about us

Just a little about us and what we’re looking for. We’re looking for child care in our home for our almost 6 month old daughter, Daisy. My boyfriend, Robby, works in the oilfield so he is gone for two weeks at a time. I am currently going through my last two weeks at one job and will be going to another job as a vet tech in about two weeks. So the job would be for my new work hours, which I’m not 100% sure on the hours but am pretty sure it will be around 7:30-5:30. And it would only be while Robby is at work, so a two week on, two week off kind of thing. We have two sweet dogs, Bunny and Bean who would need to be let out in the backyard to go potty every now and then. Bunny does have to go out on a leash. We’re looking for someone we can really trust with our little girl, so we’d like some references if you have them. Reliability to come to work on time is important to us, because if you’re not here, I can’t get to work. We do ask for light cleaning after the baby (never cleaning up after us) such as washing bottles, keeping toys clean, baby’s laundry if needed, and simple picking up after yourself. Please let me know if this is something you’d like to do!

Hello! I am a new mom who is planning a pregnancy and would love someone who is educational, supportive, and a great positive influence. I am very flexible with working with schedules. My goal of having a nanny is to enable a bigger support system for small needs such as breaks, rest, educational support, and adding an addition to the family!

A little bit about us

Looking for a nanny every other week (Friday-Thursday) to help me with 3 kids under 4. I have a newborn, a two year old and just turned 4 year old.

The toddlers are not coping well with their new brother, so I need someone very understanding of their current behaviors that can help them stick to their normal routine, play with them, help me get them to school 3 days a week, and help with the newborn while they are at school.

Must be comfortable with severe food allergies (4 year old will be receiving the Palforzia desensitization for peanuts starting in January, so possibility of anaphylaxis pretty much daily- I will be home with you though). Must be CPR certified. Must be able to swim as we have a pool. DM me if interested.

Schedule: Friday would be 830-11
The hours on the weekends are flexible as we will mostly need someone here while my daughter is doing the Palforzia.
Monday would be 10-1
Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday 730-4 ish !

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Shreveport, LA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Shreveport, LA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Shreveport, LA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
