Lyla is a spunky little almost 8 month old.
Likely on Mondays and Fridays, from 9-5.
We have a dog, she has a lot of energy but very sweet, her name is Harley.
She would just need to be let out back to go to the bathroom and played with a little inside (don't expect you to walk with her and baby!)

A little bit about us

Our children are starting daycare in August and our nanny has decided to take another job before then. We're looking for temporary care between May 26 and August 15.

We have an almost 3 year old and a 1 year old. Experience with both infants and toddlers is preferred. Hours are 9am - 3pm, Mon - Fri. Infant and child CPR training preferred. We use payroll software. We WFH but have separate offices. We have 2 cats and one small dog. Responsibility include playing with the kids, lunch prep, going for walks with the kids to the playground, tidying up child related messes from the work day.

This may be a good fit for someone in between semesters or on summer break.

A little bit about us

I’m 33 years old and a FTM to a baby boy born in May. Looking for a nanny for 40 hours a week and hoping to find a nice couple to nanny share with! We’re new to Frederick and look forward to making new connections in our community. I am a financial analyst with a hybrid work from home schedule. My husband is a Project Manager for a commercial HVAC company. We’re both originally from PA but have been in MD since 2012. Our expectations for child care are that our nanny provides a patient, loving atmosphere and is reliable. Providing a learning environment is a plus. Must be fully vaccinated and CPR certified.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Frederick, MD

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Frederick, MD

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Frederick, MD? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
