A little bit about us

Looking for a kind, active, trustworthy nanny to stay with our three young kids Tuesday - Thursdays each week, for a total of 26 hours. Our 2 and 3 year old boys are happy, active, enthusiastic kids. And our 9 month old daughter is happy to try to keep up with her brothers! They all like music, parks, walks, library storytimes, snacks, and the zoo! We live in a central neighborhood area where all of those things are easily and readily available. Our neighborhood is friendly and walkable!

Our ideal nanny would love and protect our kids while we're at work, would have open communication with us, and be happy to be a part of the family- because it does take a village! Keeping the kids active, creative, and finding ways to incorporate some education would be ideal. We'd love to find someone who's a great fit and would stay with us for a few years until the kids are all in school. One extra note - You'll need a car that can fit 3 carseats, as there will be a preschool pick up need during the school year. (We can get narrow seats for an SUV...)

We're a busy family with these ages, but if we sound like a good fit - we'd love to hear from you!

A little bit about us

We are looking for an experienced nanny on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. One or both of us would be home to help if needed. We would like our nanny to be fully vaccinated and be CPR and first aid certified. We also have a very friendly dog who loves attention, so you'll need to be comfortable around animals. Ideally you would be very comfortable around children under one and have an understanding of developmental milestones they should be hitting. Our daughter will be 8 months when you’d start in January and loves interacting.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in New Brighton, MN

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in New Brighton, MN

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in New Brighton, MN? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
