A little bit about us

My baby girl Martha was born in October! We are the luckiest parents because she is the sweetest and easiest going baby. She absolutely loves her milky milk and cuddles. I am a nurse who is currently in my doctorate program and my husband works in the trades. We will be needing a nanny starting end of March/beginning of April. We are looking for someone to help with my work and school schedule. Sometimes I will be home working on homework while you are there. I am a mom trying to do it all which is not easy! Generally this will look like a normal 9-5 two days a week (what days may change based on my schedule or your schedule) unless I need help covering for one of my shifts at the hospital and my husband cannot be home. Then, it would be from 7 am - 7 pm (but this will not be the normal and you will have plenty of advanced knowledge). My mother is also helping with child care so I am sure something can be worked out if time off is needed! Any household responsibilities will just revolve around taking care of our little girl. Our expectation is just that she is taken care of (clean, fed, happy! You know the normal). We do have a large black cat, Indie, who is an absolute lover boy. Although you would not have any responsibilities regarding his care, I am warning you that he definitely will try to cuddle with you!

A little bit about us

Hello! We are the Fellmans and currently have a 9 month old son, Niko. We are looking for a part-time nanny to watch our son roughly 2-3 times a week for 7-8 hours while we work. My husband and I both work from home.
When taking care of Niko, we are looking for someone to:
* play toys with him
* feed him snacks and meals, or a bottle
* change his diapers
* take him outside or for walks around the neighborhood
* put him down for naps
* just overall day-to-day care of an baby
We have both cats and dogs in our home, but we are not expecting a nanny to take care of our pets. We would like someone who is ok with pets though as our pets love attention so they will likely be asking for it from you.

What is an Infant Nanny in Plymouth, MN

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Plymouth, MN? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
